The Serious Blog

OKAY SO...last night was celebration (once again for those of you who aren't at Malone it's a giant worship service) and God totally rocked my face off. Not only was the worship so incredible but what Cory had to say shot me straight in the heart, i needed to hear it so bad.
I struggle with staying faithful to God, like all of us, but when i mess up, sometimes i just feel so overwhelmed, like there is no way i can ask for forgiveness again. there is no way I can bow before God and ask Him to forgive me again, when i just asked for this same grace yesterday. So instead of taking my sins and struggles to God, i run. What God really told me, is that its okay to come to Him for forgiveness especially when you mess up, if you are sincere in your confession, God will always have open arms for you. That's how i felt last night, that with all of the pain, and all of the sin that I'm so attached to, God still loves me, and wants to be close to me.
I also really wanted to share this video that i find really cool. I'm sure everyone has heard by now that Brian Welch (the lead singer of Korn) turned Christian, i just think his testimony is so totally awesome.

The Prank

OKAY SO...john, jd, and almost all of U.B. (Upper Barclay for those of you not Malone Affiliated) went to the Cav's game last night, leaving us alone and bored. I always look forward to playing Dr. Mario with John when we have visiting hours (mostly because it is the only game i can beat him at...and i only win because he's colorblind). ANYWAY, so he gave me the key to his room so we could hang out and play video games while they were gone...little did they know...after they left I had the brilliant idea, playing a harmless prank. Abby Carr gave us the idea...i'll let the pictures to the rest of the talking.
If you can't tell we took 15 phone books (donated by the boys of UB, the girls of Whitt 2, and Myers Lounge) and crumpled them up page by page. the result: a room filled knee high with page of phone books. it started very small but then everyone started bringing more and more phone books, and more and more people came to help. It took about two hours.

Road Trips, HCS, Townies & Other Weekend Adventures

This weekend was totally awesome. On Friday our gang set out to Youngstown (or the little suburbs near Youngstown anyway) for the Heartland Christian Schools' homecoming basketball game (where Amanda, Angela, and Erin went to high school). basically there's a huge joke at Heartland that its a school for gays, (everywhere in their gym are slogans like"Purple Pride" and "The Purple Palace" and of course their colors are black and purple) i think it's a little immature but when i was a freshman or a sophomore i probably would have thought it was funny too =) We also got the tour of the building where John and I found ANOTHER ladder in the wall (i know it's not all that uncommon but they just keep popping up in the weirdest spots, also please note John showing his Heartland pride). moving on, after the game we all went to Erin's house, where Aaron tried to climb up the stairs upside down, and we all vacuumed ourselves into trash bags (at least we're not doing drugs). That was all Friday, on Saturday we took a road trip out to East Palestine (this little town is basically Americas butt hole) to visit Angela. We played a very intense game of spoons (only we used markers), watched Tropic Thunder (haven't decided how i feel about the movie yet), and went out on the town and walked to McDonald's where we spied on the local townies, (in case you didn't know townies are those kids that graduate and never leave, they are known to loiter in establishments, walk around town, spike their hair, wear wife beaters, and deal pot, their are lot of these folks in E.P.) Here is a great example, (the quality is really bad because i was taking this picture secretly). when we got back to Angela's house we met her family friend Dan, who used to be a UFC cage fighter...I MET A CAGE FIGHTER! then we left to go home and found that John got a parking tickett for parking against traffic, oops. and THAT was my weekend. hope i didn't forget anything...
